Step-by-Step Process

1. Get a Job Offer

You must first receive an official job offer from a registered Russian company.

2. Employer Applies for Work Permit

• The Russian employer applies for your work permit approval through the Ministry of Internal Affairs

• Employer also obtains an official work invitation letter for you

3. Receive Work Invitation Letter

Once approved, the employer sends the government-issued invitation letter to you in India — this is mandatory for the visa application.

4. Submit Work Visa Application

Apply at the Russian Embassy or Authorized Visa Center (VFS Global) with required documents:

✔ Passport (min 6 months validity)
✔ Work invitation letter
✔ Job contract
✔ Passport-size photos
✔ Medical test certificate (HIV test mandatory)
✔ Visa application form
✔ Travel insurance

5. Visa Processing

Processing time usually takes 10 to 20 working days.
